In general there is constituted of two type of gasing contest. The first type will be spinning competition and the 2nd contest is fighting contest. These two type of competition might demand different necessity and skill given by the player. According to Sheppard in the book Taman Indera, top which can be use for contest may measuring 23 centimetres around diameters. We shall go in more depth about this contest down the road.
Spinning contest
When judging spinning contest, the foremost
standard takes into account is the absolutely balanced top which will be able
to remain spinning for long time period. The top which will spin in longest time
can be declared as winner. It is normal for the good & quality top to
spin for in two hours without showing whatsoever indicate of sway or irregular
oscillation.
In spinning contest, there are two player in a team. One will be the spinner and the other one come scooper. Each player have to be proficient for the team to win. The spinner will be the one that begin the spinning. He have to have highly solid leg, pelvic and arm muscles. This is because the thrower might need his entirely body in spinning the top.
The scooper, in the other hand shall have different set of attainment. He have to have highly quickly reflexes and be able to conquer the rapidly spinning top so that the top could continue to spin. This skill is crucial because he must not distrup the top Whenever he scoop it to put into the stand.
After the top is arrange on top of their special stand, it could keep to spin & it also need to remain absolutely upright.
Fighting competition
In top fighting contest, the
player in both team could be more than the spinning contest. The player on
each team will range from three to five man. Once this contest is
in some manner use particular skill and might be dangerous, just adult may embark
this type of competition.
In this nature and severity of competition, there are two team involve. The competition start with the lead off team spin their top, thus followed by the second team- which they had to hit one of the first team’s top.
However, in doing this, hitting extra than one top is in admissible.
Since hitting the top might cause damage to the tops, there come some rule to observe. The rule will be that the striker’s top (the second team’s top) have to remain to spin once it hit the first top (their opponent’s top). The mark could be given to the team that shall hit the top while his top continue to spin. This type of contest can drag up to few days, which I believed will be based on the organizer or based to the local rule.
